Annlee Cakes at the Powwows

September was a marvelous month of going to powwows and meeting new friends.

Our booth display this year was 10 feet wide and 60 feet long. An impressive powow display of hand crafted seed bead jewelry for the Great Circle. And, at the White Cloud, Kansas powwow we had the enjoyment of many friends and the sharings of traditional ways. The weather was wonderful.

The second powwow of September was at Standing Bear in Oklahoma where once more blessings flowed as the Eagle flies. The attending crowd was interesting and many questions were answered. A very good sharing!

Although we are a bit worn out from two weekend powwows in a rom: The third of the season is this October first weekend at the Kaw Reservation in Oklahoma. This is a traditional event with many things going on. Wonderful things always occur at this powwow.

We crafted many new designs and some are now online at our shops. You are invited to visit and explore, and to share the site with friends and family. We appreciate your time and that you share the links. We remain a small family business thanks to all of you.

We are honored to represent one of the best Native American
flute crafters in the United States of America.

Flutes by Darrell Bolin of Oklahoma.
Long Hair is his company. He has been crafting flutes for over 50 years.
He has mastered crafting the five hole flute.

Each flute is hand crafted and must pass the final inspection of
Darrell who has been making them for many years. Darrell is now in
in his sixties and still enjoys crafting and playing his beautiful flutes.
His flutes have a great voice to Mother Earth and Grandfather.

Made in the traditional way and each tuned by hand.

Annlee Cakes Native American Regalia and Crafts
Sells all Native American Indian pow wow and dance style items, including
seed beaded earrings, and regalia jewelry hand-crafted in traditional styles to the Native American Nation.

My seed beaded crafts are not an assembly line, and most you will find offered are a "LIMIT OF ONE" simply because they are "hand assembled" and not mass produced. My earrings are for the distinctive addition to personal Native Regalia. Our beading is for the wearing in the Dance Circle or for personal choice of the buyer. If you find one you like I suggest considering order it before it is gone.

To-Day beaded copies of designs are made commercially and in great numbers and yet there still are some traditional Medicine People who do hand-craft and create cultural styled regalia jewelry which is not commercially mass produced but are each hand crafted the traditional ways.

You can find real crafters at Pow Wows by simply asking if they can craft YOU a Special Order item with the bones and decorations YOU PICK. If they can you discovered a real traditional crafter and not a mass produced seller. It is like a REAL SEED BEADER who can create a Special Order design of YOUR CHOICE of colored seed beads to use in the finished pattern item. Mass produced people whom are simply sellers cannot do this simple test? Hand-crafting is a learned skill and it is an art of Culture and Traditions. And, please remember just as you go to work expecting a living wage in these days: So does a genuine traditional crafter deserve the same concept and respect of their Mother Earth gifted abilities. WE ARE REAL GENUINE CRAFTERS...You like one of my designs but desire different colors...We can do that!
